Driving Relationships

Is it just me or do you start having relationships with drivers on the road with you? I start calling them by their make, model, and/or color. “Come on in Green Toyota, you let me merge back there a bit ago.” Is that silly? Is that just me? Oh, and thanks for cutting me off, Black Cadillac. I hate when people mistake half a car-length as an invitation.

About Devin Reams

My name is Devin Reams and I founded this site to provide a useful news and review resource for Colorado skiers and snowboarders (and mountain enthusiasts). I've been skiing since I was a little kid (we moved out here when I was five years old) and I plan to ski for years beyond that. Although cosnow is not my full-time job it is my full-time winter hobby. I've been an "Epic Local" passholder since 2006 (when it was called a "Colorado Pass" or "Five Mountain Pass"). My favorite resorts are Beaver Creek and Breckenridge.

Hah yeah, you can tell who is not used to driving in traffic every day… they think changing lanes every 50 yards is going to do them some good or something.

I definitely pre-judge people based on their car, too…

When living in DC I had a friend, I knew only as “Blue Mazda” from Slugging/ casual carpool…

…I thought to myself “C’mon Blue Mazda” while walking up to the Park & Ride. That car is my express shot to the Pentagon Metro Station. Comfortable seats, Air Conditioning, Good conversation and a complete disregard for the speed limit come together to make the first leg of my morning commute a pleasant one. So thanks Blue, for keeping me ontime and smiling.
