Five Gifts Meme

The “Holdays” (Christmas) are right around the corner and I always struggle to think up some things I absolutely “need.” Throughout the year situations will come up where you think to yourself “man, I wish I had one of those ________ right now.” I do it all the time. Of course, I’ll forget each and every one of those situations when birthdays and Christmases approach. That won’t happen this time. For my own entertainment here are the five gifts I’d love to get.

1. Golf Lessons

It seems only natural that a business major spend some time on the golf course. Interestingly enough my brother, the musician, has spent much more time golfing than I have. I figure I’m running low on expensive hobbies and this is one I’d enjoy taking up.

2. CamelBak hydration backpack

I’ve realized that I need to carry a few things when I go skiing (extra clothes, food, water) and there simply aren’t enough pockets in my jacket(s). Close, but not enough. So, a compact (black) ‘hydration pack’ would make for an excellent accessory this winter. We wouldn’t want me to get dehydrated now, would we?

3. Digital Camera

About Devin Reams

My name is Devin Reams and I founded this site to provide a useful news and review resource for Colorado skiers and snowboarders (and mountain enthusiasts). I've been skiing since I was a little kid (we moved out here when I was five years old) and I plan to ski for years beyond that. Although cosnow is not my full-time job it is my full-time winter hobby. I've been an "Epic Local" passholder since 2006 (when it was called a "Colorado Pass" or "Five Mountain Pass"). My favorite resorts are Beaver Creek and Breckenridge.

A 360 is not a bad choice! Especially since the Halo 3 public beta will be coming out this coming spring. Signups are on Monday! I think I might actually take a day off of work if I get the chance to get that public beta.

Welp, I touched a PS3 today and the graphics were pretty slick. I did enjoy the Xbox 360 but I don’t find football to be representative of the experience.. so, I’ll have to take your word for it. ;-)

Skydiving would be a great idea, I always wanted to do high altitude skydiving from say.. 10 miles up. I remember reading about the first person to fall from space, some astronaut sky dove from something like 60 miles and was falling faster than the speed of sound before he really hit the atmosphere. How cool would that be, make a sonic boom with your body.

Wow that’s an interesting story… I guess it doesn’t matter how high I am, just far enough to fall, open a parachute and have some fun. ;-)
