Ummm… did he “forget” the part where you need to mention your social to the CC people in order to activate a card you get in the mail? Umm… I don’t think you’d be dumping your SSI out with credit card applications…. This guy’s a dumbass… And if he did, well, he’s not just a dumbass, he’s a fucktard…
I think the point is that a torn up credit card application seems a bit fishy. He applied for a Chase card and Chase’s website (along with the FTCs) specifically notes: “If you receive financial solicitations that you’re not interested in, tear them up before throwing them away, so theives can’t use them to assume your identity.”
