Nordstrom got it right

Nordstrom got it right tonight when I brought in a pair of pants to be altered. I had bought the pair across the street at Nordstrom Rack and the guy told me they usually charge for the alteration. No worries! But, once the measurements were taken he said ‘hey, no charge’. So, I walked from Men’s Clothing to Men’s shoes and spent a few bucks.

About Devin Reams

My name is Devin Reams and I founded this site to provide a useful news and review resource for Colorado skiers and snowboarders (and mountain enthusiasts). I've been skiing since I was a little kid (we moved out here when I was five years old) and I plan to ski for years beyond that. Although cosnow is not my full-time job it is my full-time winter hobby. I've been an "Epic Local" passholder since 2006 (when it was called a "Colorado Pass" or "Five Mountain Pass"). My favorite resorts are Beaver Creek and Breckenridge.

I heart Nordstrom’s shoes. :) I know people sometimes take advantage of their “no questions asked” return policy, but a few years back, I had bought probably 4 pairs of shoes from their shoe department over the course of a few months and had always gone with the same sales guy. One of the pairs of was white dress shoes that I learned was absolutely uncomfortable after having worn them once. I took them back and went to my trusted sales rep and explained how uncomfortable they were. He said, “No problem” and shot me a smile along with a 100% refund back, even though they were white and had obviously gotten scuffed up after only 1 night’s wear.

    They really mean “satisfaction guaranteed!”

I also bought a top from there which I noticed the stitching on some shirring was coming undone. They took it to the back to the alterations to fix it *and* gave me a 20% discount on the item.

I’m definitely a customer for life.

Ralph: Yikes, was it worth it?

Rachel and Esther: In my defense, I’m a guy and it takes me longer to learn about cool stores. I, too, am a customer for life now.
