Going Pink

While lots of people are changing a few lines of CSS I got up at 5:45am this morning to ‘Go Pink’ and help out. Denver hosts the largest Race for the Cure in the nation and I lent a hand this morning.

Race for the Cure Race for the Cure Race for the Cure

This morning I was volunteering at the finish line handing out snacks to over 65,000 participants. It was intense, to say the least. Plus, I got to work with some neat Boy/Girl Scouts.

Overall, it was fun. If you don’t volunteer you should. Really.

‘Nuff said.

About Devin Reams

My name is Devin Reams and I founded this site to provide a useful news and review resource for Colorado skiers and snowboarders (and mountain enthusiasts). I've been skiing since I was a little kid (we moved out here when I was five years old) and I plan to ski for years beyond that. Although cosnow is not my full-time job it is my full-time winter hobby. I've been an "Epic Local" passholder since 2006 (when it was called a "Colorado Pass" or "Five Mountain Pass"). My favorite resorts are Beaver Creek and Breckenridge.

Thanks for the comment, Julia. Interesting perspective, indeed. I guess my only comment is that the race itself is certainly an engaging way to increase awareness and put money into supporting research so, hopefully, there aren’t more stories to be told.
