{"id":5794,"date":"2013-05-13T12:00:29","date_gmt":"2013-05-13T18:00:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.reams.me\/?p=5794"},"modified":"2013-05-13T12:08:30","modified_gmt":"2013-05-13T18:08:30","slug":"techstars-boulder-class-to-include-four-denver-area-startups","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.reams.me\/?p=5794","title":{"rendered":"TechStars Boulder class to include four Denver area startups"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Denver Post&#8217;s Andy Vuong highlights the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/business\/ci_23218961\/techstars-boulder-class-include-four-denver-area-startups\">four Denver-based companies that will be involved in TechStars Boulder<\/a> this summer. <a href=\"http:\/\/elihuu.com\">Elihuu<\/a> being one of them:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n  &#8220;[Designers have] tested the market, they&#8217;ve figured out price points, they&#8217;ve figured out materials, they&#8217;ve figured out processes \u2014 and they need to get this thing manufactured,&#8221; said co-founder Dorian Ferlauto. &#8220;They come to us and we find them the best matches.&#8221;\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Its great that the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.techstars.com\/program\/locations\/\">multiple TechStars locations<\/a> (Boulder, NYC, Seattle, Boston, etc.) has allowed for these locales to help &#8216;bring up&#8217; local companies instead of &#8216;ship in&#8217; entrepreneurs from around the country (sure, that still does happen).<\/p>\n<p>But, this also means there&#8217;s more tendency for those folks who started a company locally to maintain and grown their network, continue to stay in town where their mentors and funders reside, grow a startup ecosystem, find more resources, stick around, and turn around and mentor the future incomers.
