That, to me, is the magic button of Medium.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>I disagree. Lots of services already aggregate long-form discussions around a common taxonomy (Tumblr being of note).<\/p>\n<p>Plus, this is something Chris Yeh first talked about back in 2007: <a href=\"http:\/\/chrisyeh.blogspot.com\/2007\/02\/grand-unified-theorem-of-blogging.html\">The Grand Unified Theorem of Blogging<\/a> \u2014\u00a0I piggy-backed on it with my own post titled <a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.reams.me\/2007\/blogging-audiences-and-feedback\/\">Blogging Audiences and Feedback<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In short: the more you talk about, the less focused you are, the less readership your site will enjoy. In other words, if you don\u2019t write for a niche you won\u2019t be \u201csuccessful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As Yeh followed up in the comments: &#8220;Success means different things to different people.
