It started in the 9rules member forum. A member, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.livingwithmusic.com\/\">deus62<\/a>, mentioned he was becoming a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wordpress.org\">WordPress<\/a> convert. It may not appear in your feed reader so you need to visit this post or <a href=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\/25840232\">click here to visit Vimeo<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/25840232?title=0&amp;byline=0&amp;portrait=0\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\/25840232\">It&#8217;s Called WordPress<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\/devinreams\">Devin Reams<\/a> on <a href=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\">Vimeo<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Lyrics<\/h2>\n<p>Welcome to my story bout my, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Content_management_system\">CMS<\/a><br \/>\nIt&#8217;s an awesome piece of software, it&#8217;s called <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wordpress\">WordPress<\/a><br \/>\nIt manages my blog, it makes it look real nice<br \/>\nI installed in in 5 minutes, this things slicker than ice<br \/>\nAll I had to do, was click on Next<br \/>\nWithin seconds I was running, no room to get vexed<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wordpress.org\/\">WordPress<\/a><br \/>\nIt&#8217;s my CMS<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s the best thing to hit the web since porn<br \/>\nThe code is open, the source is free<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s available for people, just like you and me<\/p>\n<p>Once I picked my title and wrote a description,<br \/>\nI clicked on manage, I needed to do so me fixin&#8217;<br \/>\nI deleted Hello World, got rid of first comment, too<br \/>\nI clicked on View Site and all I saw was plain blue<br \/>\nI moved to Presentation, there were some nice looking themes<br \/>\nBut none fit my style, none screamed <a href=\"http:\/\/devinreams.com\/about\/\">Devin Reams<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Chorus<\/p>\n<p>After I tweaked the code and played with <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cascading_Style_Sheets\">CSS<\/a><br \/>\nI installed myself some plugins, I was real impressed<br \/>\nThey organized my archives, they helped me tag, too<br \/>\nThen I installed a spam blocker not a single one came through<br \/>\nI added movie ratings and <a href=\"http:\/\/devinreams.com\/tools\/\">book ratings<\/a> as well<br \/>\nNow when people visit me they&#8217;ll know that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/url?sa=t&#038;ct=res&#038;cd=1&#038;url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.imdb.com%2Ftitle%2Ftt0479884%2F&#038;ei=InKqRb7HEZGygwPJo5HOBg&#038;usg=__cEAiCZlysS84wW-f8SImhZ7pyE0=&#038;sig2=1xt6BK05r7gEOU1nsHesTQ\">Crank<\/a> was hell<\/p>\n<p>Chorus<\/p>\n<p>So I made an <a href=\"http:\/\/devinreams.com\/about\/\">about page<\/a>, it got me a stalker<br \/>\nI was thrilled and excited, I wanted to to talk to her<br \/>\nShe said she knew my hometown, what I looked like, too<br \/>\nIt was mentioned that she loved guys with eyes that were blue<br \/>\nI didn&#8217;t mind the attention, decided it was time she had met me<br \/>\nLittle did I know, some people named their <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Unisex_names\">boys Leslie<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Chorus<\/p>\n<p>Now you might be thinking, he plays piano real good<br \/>\nI wish it were true, I sure wish I could<br \/>\nInstead I wrote the lyrics to this nerdy tune,<br \/>\nIt was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/garageband\/\">GarageBand<\/a> provided ballad piano number 2<\/p>\n<p>Chorus x2<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update:<\/strong> Steven Campbell has created a plugin (like the Hello Dolly! plugin) for this song. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.noenemies.com\/archives\/244\">Check it out!<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Update:<\/strong> The song is now available in <a href=\"http:\/\/tekapo.com\/st\/2007\/01\/29\/its-called-wordpress\/\">Japanese<\/a>!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been quietly working on a silly project &#8212; they&#8217;re good to throw into the mix every now and again.
